Wright Library Poets is an open writing group sponsored by the library. We meet monthly to share work and hone our craft. In November and December we'll be meeting at the Oakwood Starbucks (2424 Far Hills Ave). Beginning in January we'll meet at the library. New poets welcome! Have you always wanted to write a novel? Join others world-wide for National Novel Writing Month and set the goal of writing 50,000 words between November 1st and November 30th. Sign up at nanowrimo.org and start writing November 1st. Wright Memorial Public Library in partnership with Saxbys Coffee Oakwood / UD will host writers every Friday night in November at the library from 6:00-8:30 for a NaNoWriMo Write in. From 6-6:30 enjoy light snacks and Saxbys Coffee and mingle with other writers. 6:30-8:30 will be dedicated writing time with a weekly Prize drawing at the end of the evening. Bring your own laptop, use a library computer or the pen and notebook of your choice. However you write, this is a great chance to work on your novel and meet other writers.
