National Library Week Pay-it-Forward Food Drive & Food for Fines

Overdues by Shel SilversteinIn Celebration of National Library Week the Library will be offering a reprieve from fines during Food for Fines Week. For every non-perishable food item donated $1 will be waived from your fines. All donations collected will go to the Food Bank which will benefit more than 100 hunger relief programs in Montgomery, Greene, and Preble Counties. In honor of the services your local libraries provide, consider paying it forward. Please make a food donation even if you aren't overdue in honor of National Library Week!
Please no glass containers, unlabeled, perishable, or expired/damaged items.  Fees for lost / damaged items or collections fees are not eligible for the Food for Fines campaign.

Summer Escape- Recess for Grown-Ups @ Oakwood High School

Remember recess? Get back that sense of pure freedom grown-up style. Join Wright Memorial Public Library and the Oakwood Community Center for an evening of drop-in Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Yoga. Justina Sanford, the only Baptiste-certified yoga instructor in the Dayton area and owner of Ignite Yoga Studio in Centerville will lead yoga from 7:00-8:00 pm, followed by a Vision and Goals workshop presented by the staff of Lululemon Oakwood. Bring Your Own Yoga mat.
