In Celebration of National Library Week the Library will be offering a reprieve from fines during Food for Fines Week. For every non-perishable food item donated $1 will be waived from your fines. All donations collected will go to the Food Bank which will benefit more than 100 hunger relief programs in Montgomery, Greene, and Preble Counties.
Please no glass containers, unlabeled, perishable, or expired/damaged items. Fees for lost / damaged items or collections fees are not eligible for the Food for Fines campaign.
Join Wright Memorial Public Library and other Miami Valley exhibitors for hands-on high tech STEM fun at TechFest 2015 at the Sinclair Community College, David Ponitz Center. This free family event, sponsored by the Affiliate Societies Council of Dayton, celebrates cutting-edge Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and is sure to delight, amaze and inspire. Remember to stop by the Library’s exhibit, which will highlight our upcoming “maker-boxes”. These six hands-on activity boxes will focus on a variety of themes, including molecular gastronomy, fiber arts, music, architecture, and engineering.
