Gingerbread House Party

Local children's musician Chris Rowlands will perform a robust selection of winter and holiday songs, then families can build gingerbread houses together! Music is from 2:00-3:00 p.m. House building is from 3:00-4:00 p.m.The library will provide graham crackers, icing, and edible decorations for the gingerbread

Holiday Music Presented by Oakwood City Schools

Get into the Holiday Spirit! Enjoy a variety of holiday music in the Library. Join us December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. for the Harman Elementary School Handbell Choir. December 4th at 11:15 a.m. we will feature the Oakwood High School Quartet. Wednesday, December 17th  at 10:30 a.m. the Library is pleased to welcome the Smith Elementary Fourth Graders.

TechFest 2015Join Wright Memorial Public Library and other Miami Valley exhibitors for hands-on high tech STEM fun at TechFest 2015 at Sinclair Community College, David Ponitz Center. This free family event, sponsored by the Affiliate Societies Council of Dayton, celebrates cutting-edge Science Technology Engineering and Math and is sure to delight, amaze and inspire. Remember to stop by the Library’s exhibit, which will highlight our upcoming “maker-boxes”. These six hands-on activity boxes will focus on a variety of themes, including molecular gastronomy, fiber arts, music, architecture, and engineering.
