Hidden Oakwood Walk

Tucked into one Oakwood neighborhood you'll find three natural parks that invite calm reflection and appreciation of nature. Discover the history behind these hidden gems with Mark W. Risley of the Oakwood Historical Society on a fun and informative walk through Loy Gardens, Elizabeth Gardens, and Houk Stream. The 1.5 mile walk will begin and end in front of Wright Library, and water will be provided.

Together Oakwood Project- Community Creation Day

Come to the library to take inspiration from the beautiful canvases and moving stories of the Together Oakwood Project. Paint and small canvases will be provided so you can express your response or tell your story of Oakwood positivity. Computers will also be made available if you prefer to express yourself in the written word. Selected canvases and text submissions will be added to the Together Oakwood Project—on display at the library for years to come.
