Interlibrary loan is a method of obtaining materials that are not owned by Wright Memorial Public Library. If the item you want is a newer item (published or release within the last year), you can suggest the library purchase the item .
Anyone who has an active Wright Library card can use this service.
There are several ways to request items that Wright Library does not own. You can visit or call (294-7171) the Reference or Audiovisual Information desks or you can use our ILL Request Form to email us your request.
You can request books, photocopies from journals or newspapers and/or audiovisual items.
You can have up to ten active interlibrary loan requests at a time.
There is a fee of 50 cents for each interlibrary loan request. If you do not pick up your interlibrary loan item you will still need to pay the fee. In rare cases, there also may be a charge from the lending library. If this happens, the library staff will contact you before placing the request.
Materials usually arrive in two to three weeks. It could be longer or shorter, depending on the lending library’s location and workflow.
Pick up your items at Wright Library's checkout desk.
All books, music cds and books on tape are checked out for twenty one days. Videos, DVDs and CD- ROMs are checked out for one week.
If materials are returned late, you will be responsible for the overdue fines charged to your account. You are also responsible for any lost or damaged items checked out on your card. The lending library will bill Wright Library for the cost of the item and the charge will be put on your account.
