You can support Wright Library by joining the Friends of the Library [5], donating to the Wright Library Foundation [6], and by doing the following:
When you click the link images to the right,
shop on the selected Web site and your purchases will generate income for Wright Library.
Use GoodSearch [7] whenever you search the Internet and designate Wright Memorial Public Library as your charity.
The Library welcomes book donations for the annual book sale. Donations can be dropped off all year long any time the library is open. Used CDs, videos, and DVDs are also accepted.
For other types of gifts or bequests, please contact the Library Director, Ann Snively by e-mail [8] or by telephone at 937-294-7171.
You are invited to join Friends of Wright Library, a group of loyal patrons who help the library as advocates and volunteers. They benefit the library by working on such projects as the annual book sale or holiday decorating. Friends are also called upon to contact legislators in support of libraries and to be advocates for Wright Library in the community. If you love the library, please become a Friend! You may download a membership form [9] and return it with your dues payment to Friends of the Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45419. We welcome volunteers. Please come to the Library and fill out a Volunteer Application Form, or download it [12] and then send or bring it to the Library. A staff member will call you to confirm your interest, describe a job that needs doing, and work with you to find a schedule that meets the hours you have available.
Some of the things that most need doing are not glamorous, but are essential. For example, help with filing, dusting shelves, and cleaning and mending materials is appreciated. The Library always needs help with the annual book sale as well. If you have any questions please call the Administrative Services Coordinator, Linda Cosgrove, at 294-7171.

The Wright Memorial Public Library Foundation [14] (“Foundation”) was created in 1997. The Foundation was formed to operate exclusively for the purpose of advancing the goals, objectives, and priorities of the Wright Memorial Public Library (“Wright Library”), as established by the Board of Trustees of the library. The Foundation raises funds for Wright Library, holding, investing and expending those funds for the exclusive benefit of the library.
The Foundation Board consists of between five and nine Trustees who serve three year terms. Interested applicants are welcome to contact [15]the Board President for an application.
Foundation Board meetings are held at 6:30PM on the second Monday of each month in the library’s Meeting Room and are open to the public.
