Wright Library Phone Survey. Tell us what you think!

Currently, a phone survey is being conducted by a national public opinion firm, on behalf of Wright Memorial Public Library – and we encourage residents to participate if they receive a call. Your time and participation are greatly appreciated, because your honest thoughts and opinions are important to us as we shape plans for the future of Wright Memorial Public Library.

Wright Memorial Public Library is proud to offer a variety of services to the community including Story Times for children; outreach programs to Oakwood City Schools; special events for adults, families, children, and teens; meeting rooms for public use; and a website with online learning resources, informational blogs, and downloadable digital books, magazines, music and videos. In 2015, the Wright Memorial Public Library had nearly 159,000 visits! The space for these visitors, however, has not had a significant update in nearly three decades. Issues with poor drainage and temperature control, inaccessible bathrooms, a problematic elevator, and other antiquated systems are expensive to maintain and are a challenge to our ability to appropriately serve the Oakwood community.

We are talking to our Oakwood constituents to gain a better understanding of their perceptions of the Library’s facility, their priorities and values, and the services they think are important. In addition to the phone survey, over the last couple of months we invited groups of patrons and residents to participate in small group discussions. We will also be distributing an online survey in August, and again appreciate your participation.
