When Women Ran Fifth Avenue
Wright Library to host author Julie Satow
About this event
Wright Library is pleased to partner with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Dayton Cultural Arts & Book Series and Hadassah to host author Julie Satow in a talk about her book When Women Ran Fifth Avenue: Glamour and Power at the Dawn of American Fashion.
The program will explore the dynamic and transformative period of the early 20th century when women began to assert their influence on New York City’s Fifth Avenue. Through rich historical detail and vivid storytelling, Satow brings to life the social, cultural, and economic impact these trailblazing women had on the heart of Manhattan.
The program will be held at Wright Library (1776 Far Hills Avenue, Oakwood 45419) on Sunday, December 8 at 2PM and is free and open to the public. Seating is limited to 80. Books will be available for purchase and Ms. Satow will hold a book signing following the program.
