Bird Watching Learning Kit
The newest kit available is for bird watching. Whether you’re an experienced birder or just starting out, this kit provides everything you need to explore the fascinating world of birds in your area.
The new Bird Watching Learning Kit contains a pair of binoculars, a spotting scope for close-up views, and the “Backyard Guide to the Birds of North America.” It is appropriate for any age and, like most of the Learning Kits, can be checked out with your Wright Library Card for 14 days.

Toniebox
Wright Library welcomes Toniebox to the Library of Things Learning Kit Collection. Toniebox is an audio system designed to help kids safely learn technology while building independence, focus, speech, and reading skills. Turn it on, pop a Tonie on top, and let the audio adventure begin!
Each Tonie figure features select songs and stories that promote early learning and are sung by popular children's characters including Daniel Tiger, Elsa from Disney's Frozen, Dragons Love Tacos, Peppa Pig, Elmo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and other childhood favorites.

Metal Detector

Ghost Hunting Learning Kit
For the beginner Ghost Hunter, this kit contains an EMF Meter, Voice Recorder, Frequency Sweep Radio, and more. Made popular by television and technology, ghost hunting has intrigued many as a way to explore the history of people and places by tapping into the paranormal realm.

Wright Library's Library of Things offers a variety of activities, equipment, tools, and kits to try something new, learn or develop a skill, accomplish practical tasks, make someone a gift, or discover a new hobby. “It’s important for the library to make activities and experiences available at no cost to its patrons,” said Brian Potts, Operations Coordinator for Wright Library.
In addition to learning kits, the catalog includes home safety tools, musical instruments, stylized cake pans, ROKU streaming devices, and Doorway to Dayton activity passes for free admission to the Boonshoft Museum, Dayton Art Institute, Dayton History at Carillon Park, and other Dayton attractions.

Many items from the Library of Things were made available with support from the Wright Memorial Library Foundation.
Wright Library patrons with a library card in good standing for 60 days are eligible to borrow from the Library of Things. Patrons must also complete a one-time Library of Things waiver, which can be downloaded from the library’s website, printed, signed, and returned to the library with library card or photo ID.
