What is the Library of Things?

Instead of books, this collection contains objects for learning and enjoyment - equipment, tools, hobby kits, passes, and more. Develop a new skill, accomplish a practical task, make someone a gift, or discover a new hobby. Need a tool or digital device just once? Want to try a hobby before investing in costly supplies? Want to learn more about Dayton culture? Check out the Library of Things.

The Library of Things collection includes:


A signed waiver and library card is required when borrowing from the Library of Things. Borrowers must be 8 years or older. If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign and submit the Library of Things waiver.

Get a Library Card
To check out items from the Library of Things, borrowers must have a Wright Library card for at least 60 days with an account in good standing. 

Download and Print the Waiver
To check out items from the Library of Things, borrowers must have a completed and signed waiver on file. Bring a completed waiver to the library with your library card or photo ID.
