Join us for the debut of Wright Library’s new puppet theater: Marilyn’s Play Place! Miss Jacqui will put on a puppet show, then children can play with the theater and at puppet-themed stations throughout the room.  This is a drop-in program—come for 2 minutes, 20 minutes, or 2 hours.  For families with preschool and elementary-age children.

Kick off your long weekend with a family-friendly, slightly spooky bonfire!  We’ll sing campfire songs, play games, and share stories.  Audience participation strongly encouraged.  In case of rain prediction >50%, we will hold an adapted campfire inside the Library. Drop-in programs—come for 2 minutes, 20 minutes, or 2 hours.  For families with preschool and elementary-age children.

Drums Alive—Kids Beat.  Dance to the beat of your own drum at Drums Alive, a rhythmic drumming fitness program that combines the power of percussion with cardio for a fun family workout. Dorie Phillips of Music Jamboree will be leading this active program! Please note that adults may be asked to watch, rather than fully participate, so that as many children as possible can be fully involved. For families with preschool and elementary-age children.

You won’t want to miss this fun and tasty hands-on experience from Bring the Farm to You!  Children and parents will use apples and a cider press to make fresh apple cider on the Library lawn!  Participants will delve into the history of apple cidering, and try their hands at additional crafts and side-activities surrounding this Ohio tradition.
