This interactive 30 minute program gives all students the chance to learn about their favorite team! You will learn about how the team got to where they are today while looking at the history of their team, their stadium, famous moments, top players from their organization and the impact the team has had on their community. Each presentation will also look at specific Hall of Famers who made an impact for that organization as well as the game as a whole.

Scientists have been looking to nature for inspiration for centuries.  Students will learn more about inventions that have been designed using biomimicry, then explore ways that nature’s solutions can influence challenges facing the world today. Register here to receive the link. 

Stressed out? Recognize your biological reactions to stressful situations and learn techniques to manage your stress response. All animals share basic chemical responses to perceived dangers; distinguish the stressors that you can and cannot control, and use that information to lower their effects on your body and mind. 

Wright Library invites you to join Edward Jones financial advisor Katie Mitakides, in partnership with Protective Life, for a webinar on Understanding Social Security.  The Zoom webinar will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Join Jesy from Needle, Ink, and Thread in this free virtual craft class to create a holiday embroidered felt ornament. The class will be held through Zoom and all craft supplies will be available in kits that can be picked up at the library (1 kit per registered attendee). This class will be limited to the first 30 Adults that register.

Educators from the Smithsonian American Art Museum will be joining Wright Library live on Zoom to share artworks that explore the histories and cultures of American Indians, as captured by both Native and non-Native artists.  This program is intended for children in grades K-6.  Register here to receive the link.

Join Christina, Adult Services Librarian, for our new Book Club: Adults Read YA! Our new book club will provide a discussion space for Adults 18+ who read Young Adult/Teen Literature. Every month we'll read a new YA title and discuss the book via Zoom. We plan to be genre inclusive and read a variety of titles.
