At this two-part program, families will find inspiration in the inventive creations of students from Hillel Academy and enjoy free-building with cardboard and child-safe tools. Join us at 1:30pm for an artist reception from the students of Hillel Academy. They will be speaking about the cardboard inventions they created, as inspired by selected masterworks of American art. Their pieces will remain on display at the library until June 1. Then, at 3pm, the free-building begins! Copious cardboard and child-safe tools will be provided. Taking inspiration from the students’ inventions and the on-display great American artworks is encouraged, as are active, boundless imaginations. Parental supervision is required. Free building will take place outside on the library lawn if weather permits.
