What is Beanstack?

Beanstack

Beanstack is a mobile & web app platform that allows libraries to create customized challenges for patrons, motivating people to read more, discover the library, and grow community reading culture through competition, recognition, and gamification.

Frequently Asked Questions about Beanstack

To begin, parents or youth 13+ can create a Beanstack account. Parents can add multiple readers to log each child's reading under one account.

Once your account is created and readers have been added:

  1. Select your challenge
  2. Record your reading and activities to earn badges
  3. Enjoy!

If you or your family already used Beanstack for a previous Wright Library challenge, like a past summer or winter reading challenge, there's no need to create an account again. Just sign in to your existing account and join an active challenge for you or your reader's age group!

First, check your mobile device to see if you have Beanstack's mobile app already installed and if an account is already signed in. Look for this icon:

If not, you can either:

Download the Beanstack app for Android or for iOS, or search for the Beanstack app (published by Zoobean) in your device's app store.

Nope. You can participate in Beanstack without using their mobile app by signing into Wright Library's Beanstack portal instead.

Prefer analog over digital? Many (but not all) Wright Library reading challenges offer a paper option to participate offline. Visit one of the service desks at the library to find out if there's a paper version of a challenge.

If you'd like help using Beanstack's mobile app, try the Beanstack Mobile App help center.

For any other help, contact Wright Library or ask a library staff member during your next visit to the library.
