Join the Wright Library Winter Challenge!

Get cozy with Wright Library's books, digital resources, and library offerings through fun challenges for adults, teens, and youth. Register using Beanstack through Wright Library to start your challenges and track your winter activities for chances to win prizes. What is Beanstack?

Adult BINGO Cozy Winter Challenge

January 21 - February 21  |  For adults age 18+ 

  1. Join the Challenge on Beanstack or at the Reference Desk
  2. Participate through Beanstack or print your own Bingo Card

Log your reading and complete activities at the library to earn badges on your BINGO card!   Explore the library's digital resources and log the book titles that you read during the challenge.

Prizes available while supplies last.

  • You'll be treated to a free book just for registering! 
  • Get a BINGO to be entered into a drawing for a prize from Dorothy Lane Market (one entry per person).  
  • Fill up your BINGO card (cover-all) to win a movie pack or a pressed flower take-home craft.

January 13 - February 28  |  For teens grades 7-12

Register on Beanstack

A body found? Classified documents stolen? It’s up to you to solve the clues in this interactive library challenge! Win prizes as you complete tasks and uncover clues. Crack the case and you’ll be entered to win a Graeter’s gift card! 

  1. Sign up on Beanstack then complete three tasks between January 13 - February 28. Choose from the following (any combination): Read or listen to a book - peruse the Wright Library Catalog; Check out an item from the Library of Things; and/or Volunteer at the Library.
  2. Follow the clues you receive after logging each completed task.
  3. Crack the case after completing three tasks and be entered into the prize drawing for a Graeter's gift card!

January 21 - February 21  |  For youth in preschool - grade 6 

Register on Beanstack

Log your reading minutes and complete activities at the library to earn badges on your BINGO card! 

  • Your first BINGO earns you a small prize. 
  • A cover-all earns you a prize book of your choice and an entry into the gift card raffle! 

To complete the challenge, read a total of 300 minutes (5 hours)(Peruse the Wright Library Catalog) and complete the six (6) activity badges

How to earn the activity badges: 

  • Library Programs (Celebrate Badge) - Attend a library program OR make a craft in the kids’ room (available each Saturday while supplies last). 
  • Ask a Librarian (Goal Setting Badge) - Ask a librarian a question. 
  • Audiobooks (Support Badge) - Check out an audiobook from the library collection. Try a Read-a-long, Playaway, Book on CD, or Book + CD. 
  • Park Level Fun (Progress Badge) - Complete one (1) of the following activities:
    • Color at the large table in the kids' room
    • Put on a puppet show using the library's puppets and puppet theater
    • Play with an educational toy in the kids' room
    • Use one of the AWE Learning Stations
    • Read quietly, either alone or with someone else
  • Enigma Machine Display (Reflection Badge) - Take a peek at the exhibit on the Main Level - Breaking the Code: Dayton's Secret Role in World War II (under age 8 must stay with a grownup in the library, please)
  • Library of Things (Book Machine Badge) - Learn about the Library of Things and check out an item from the collection, if possible.
