Learn how to appeal your new property value
If you disagree with your new property value assessment, you can file an appeal by April 1, 2024. Learn all about the Montgomery County Auditor’s Board of Revision process at this informational meeting.
In 2023, the Montgomery County Auditor’s Office was required by the state to conduct a “triennial” update of property values. As a result of record-setting real estate sales prices, property owners will see record-setting property value increases with this update.
Property owners may file an appeal with the Board of Revision (BOR) between January 1 and April 1, 2024. Notices of tentative new property values were sent to most Montgomery County property owners in Summer 2023. You can also look up your new property value on the Montgomery County Auditor’s Property Search site. (Check the “Value History” tab on your property page)
